Job Description:
oMust be familiar with the following equipment:
PC's, Macintosh computers, LCD projectors, DVD players, and the setup and use of amplification equipment.
oStudent technicians are responsible for the delivery, pickup, and troubleshooting of both the listed equipment as well as the Smart classrooms located throughout the campus.
oAssists CT Support Technicians with on-site repairs in classrooms and other AV installations.
oProvide classroom AV training to USF faculty and staff with the intention enhancing the classroom learning environment.
oWork closely with CT Support Technicians staff in maintaining computer hardware, resolving AV and computer related problems, and the maintenance of standard images for use on laptops, AV carts and Smart Classrooms.
oMaintain an accurate inventory of all Classroom Technology equipment in classrooms and carts.
Maintain the parts inventory and the service records for all equipment.
oAssist the CT Support Technicians with tasks associated with projects, including the annual Replacement Project and the creation of new Smart Classrooms.
Minimum QualificationsoDemonstrated knowledge and troubleshooting skills for standard presentation equipment, media technologies, and audio/video systems.
Experience with presentation equipment installation highly desirable.
oDemonstrated knowledge and troubleshooting skills for computer operating systems, hardware, and applications (Windows, Macintosh, and mobile OS's)oExcellent communications skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients, faculty and staff; ability to work productively in teams or resourcefully and independently as an individual.
oHighly service-oriented, dependable, enthusiastic, punctual, and eager to assist people with computers and AV equipment.
oKnowledge of USF campus.
