Job Description:
This lab assistant will be an integral part of the team that assists the lab manager in maintaining and upgrading the state-of-the-art XARTS computer labs.
Over the summer, XARTS will replace the computers in two of our computer labs with newer, more advanced models.
Therefore, we are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated student assistant to help with this process.
Overview of ResponsibilitiesThe lab assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to:
Taking inventory of all computers, peripherals, and other equipment in the labs, including the two labs that are slated for the upgrade.
Setting up and configuring the new computers, ensuring that they are fully functional and ready to use.
Testing and troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the setup process, and addressing them in a timely and efficient manner.
Moving any retired computers and equipment into storage.
