Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for Sciences, and in coordination with the Program Director, the Program Manager for the MS in Environmental Management is responsible for managing and supporting the efficient operation of the graduate office and activities.
The Program Manager manages recruitment and admissions as well as academic and student support.
In close coordination with the Program Director and faculty, the Program Manager will work to maintain, improve and create new graduate program initiatives.
This is a temporary one year, full-time position with the possibility for extension.

Job Description:
Essential Job Responsibilities Recruitment and Admissions Manage recruitment for the Environmental Management graduate program.
Review all admission applications and participate in admission decisions with Director and faculty.
Cultivate relationships with admitted students, and manage the admissions deposit process.
Plan and execute seminars and other public events in coordination with the Program Director and Program Assistant.
Manage development of branding strategy and related marketing activities, as well as communications media, in coordination with the Director of Graduate Programs and Program Director.
Manage and develop the program's communications and publications.
Respond to requests for information from prospective students, media, and potential donors.
Oversee the program's contact management system.
Supervise and participate in the application and admissions process.
Academic/Student Support Oversee the orientation program for new students.
Facilitate and plan the academic advising process in conjunction with Program Director, and ensure the smooth administration of student registration.
Facilitate student success including organizing student orientation events, monitoring the academic progress of students, organizing student-centered events, and managing degree completion process.
Work with the Program Director to coordinate internships.
Manage alumni employment data and statistics and work with Director on programmatic alumni engagement including communications and events.
Act as a resource person/liaison between and among faculty, students, and the University community, as well as members of the public.
Collaborate with departments across campus (One Stop, Office of Residence Life, SLE, CAPS) to ensure that resources are available and delivered appropriately to graduate students and faculty.
Support development initiatives by drafting reports and other stewardship materials.
Miscellaneous Serve as a member of the College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Program Directors meetings.
Manage program budgets, including assisting with scholarship allocations as needed.
Collaborate with Program Assistant.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in relevant areas required.
Master's degree or professional experience in the field of environmental management, or related fields strongly preferred.
A minimum of three years of work experience with educational program administration required.
Experience supporting professional or graduate educational programs preferred.
Demonstrated cultural competency and experience working with students from a diverse array of backgrounds, including and especially experience working with graduate programs and students.
Experience with strategic branding, national, and international marketing.
Ability to understand and maintain budgets.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including through the use of social media.
Excellent computer skills (word processing, database systems, graphic design, and web maintenance skills).
Comfortable with occasional public speaking duties.
Ability to travel to recruitment fairs and to work in the evenings and weekends to service graduate student events.
Must demonstrate a strong equity lens, cultural humility, and proven ability to work well in a diverse context.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
