Responsibilities:
1.
Collaborate with the research team to conduct research in the field of scalable data management systems and large language models.
2.
Assist in designing and implementing experiments to explore novel approaches, techniques, and algorithms for efficient data storage, retrieval, and processing in database systems.
3.
Contribute to the development and evaluation of large language models for tasks such as natural language processing, information extraction, and question answering.
4.
Collect, preprocess, and analyze data from various sources to support research objectives.
5.
Assist in coding and prototyping research ideas using programming languages and frameworks such as Python, SQL, TensorFlow, or PySpark.
6.
Support the team in conducting literature reviews, preparing research proposals, and writing research papers for publication in academic conferences and journals.
7.
Collaborate with other team members in regular research meetings to discuss progress, results, and potential avenues for further investigation.
8.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in database systems, large language models, and related areas, and share relevant findings with the research team.
9.
Help with administrative tasks related to the research project, such as organizing datasets, maintaining experimental environments, and documenting research procedures.
Qualifications:
1.
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in Business Analytics & Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
2.
Strong understanding of database systems, including data models, query optimization, indexing, and transaction processing.
3.
Familiarity with large language models, such as GPT or or natural language processing.
4.
Proficiency in programming languages, such as Python.
Experience with frameworks for machine learning, such as TensorFlow is a plus.
5.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute to the research process and propose innovative solutions.
6.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate research findings and collaborate with team members.
7.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment, showing initiative and adaptability.
8.
Previous research experience or coursework in database systems, natural language processing, or machine learning is highly desirable.
